Evaluation & Assessments

A New Outlook Counseling Services offers evaluations and assessments for:
  • Drug & Alcohol
  • Mental Health
  • Adolescents
  • Domestic Violence
Serious care must be taken when choosing a counselor or company to perform any evaluation or assessment.
Alcohol assessments for a DUI (Driving Under the Influence), alcohol and drug assessments for Children’s Protective Services or other court/employment mandated evaluations are very sensitive matters. Many psychotherapists who perform evaluations and assessments are certified, but they are not licensed counselors. Licensing shows that the therapist is obliged through state’s legal and ethical responsibilities. Additionally, they possesses the knowledge and skills to perform the evaluations or assessments correctly.
Check to see if the counselor has a professional degree. A New Outlook Counseling Services is nationally certified Master Addiction Counselor (MAC), a Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) and our therapists are accredited professionals with Master's degrees in Marriage, Family & Child Therapy.

  • Robert set my son back on the straight and narrow. He didn’t sugar coat anything, but kept it real, which was exactly what my boy needed. My boy was heading in the wrong direction and Robert’s experiences allowed him to reach my son where other counselors only deigned to go. My son graduated high school and is now enlisted in the US Army ( a dream of his since he was 5). My opinion? Robert Johnson gave my son a new hope on life. I gratefully share the success of launching my son to his assistance during those turbulent years.

He actually listens to me completely and then offers suggestions and advice that are solid and compassionate. He says that this is “my path and my program” and does not push.   • I've worked with Robert Johnson for years and I found him to be supportive, experienced and he knows how to "get the job done". He was instrumental in providing me the quality time I experienced just before my mother died. I was in a very unstable condition and he was there to support me the last time I saw my mom. I mean, he was there, with me at my mother's house. He waited patiently, for hours while I spent quality time with my mom. He invested personally. He cared. He understood. He listened.
